On Friday October 4th, 2019 (from 7-9pm) the North Massapequa Fire Dept will host it’s annual Fire Prevention Open House at it’s Headquarters at 1000 N. Broadway, in North Massapequa. Chief of Department Joseph Pesale jr invites you and your family to stop in and meet your local first responders, see the trucks and learn about fire safety.
Live demonstrations on:
Stove/Grease fires- What to do (and not do) if your stove catches fire.
Forceable Entry- How first responders gain entry into a locked building.
“The Jaws of Life”- How to safely extricate a patient from an automobile involved in a collision.
With interactive activities including:
Smoke House;
Fire Extinguishers;
NYS Police seatbelt simulator;
Blood pressure check and
Stop, Drop and Roll.
Also on display will be Fire Safety posters submitted by students of local elementary schools.
